How this index is built
Prices come from retail listings that pass the same verification the catalog uses: whitelisted or partner sellers only, matched to the exact model, accessories and lookalike variants excluded. Per model we take the median of its verified listings; the index median is the median across those models. Movement compares identical snapshots of that series, never a verified number against an unverified one.
